How to build a word
تكوين الكلمة
A word in Arabic language is built by letters that
are attached (linked) by an horizontal line (hyphen)
between the letters.
Examples:
ك ت ب

ج م ل ت م ف ي د ت

جـمـلـة مـفـيدة
We have the three following rules:
1.
All the letters can be linked at right.
2.
All the letters can be linked at left, except
the five following letters that can be linked only at
right:
د ذ ر ز و
Examples:
د

مَــدارِسٌ
د ر س ← دَرْسٌ
3.
Le lam-alif لا
The first letter ا twists to be attached to the
letter ل to form the (lam-alif) لا.
The type of words
أنواع الكلمة
We have three kind of words:
- The noun: الإسـم
- The verb : الفـعـل
- The letter with a meaning حـرف مـعنى
Examples:
The noun: الإسـم
بـلـدٌ
The verb : الفـعـل
عَـمِـلَ
The letter with a meaning حـرف مـعنى
