Facebook Messenger; sometimes
abbreviated as Messenger is a
messaging app and platform.
Messenger is developed by Facebook
in 2008, the company renewed its messaging
service in 2010, and subsequently released standalone iOS
and Android apps in August 2011.
With Messenger, Users can send messages and exchange
photos, videos, stickers, audio, and files, as well
as react to other users' messages
The service also supports voice and video calling.

a Facebook member. Just Download the Facebook
Messenger app, select the «Not on Facebook?»
option, and enter your phone number and name.

You can upload and send photos, videos,
start group chats, and use voice and video calling
without ever having to sign up for a Facebook account.
After being separated from the main Facebook app,
Messenger had 600 million users in April 2015,
growing to 1.2 billion in April 2017.
